Welcome to Room 5.
Meet Miss Amber!
My name is Amber, and I am very excited to be a Master Teacher here at St. Colman’s. I have always enjoyed working with children. From mentoring programs to summer camps, I appreciated this time and so I decided to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I worked as a teacher’s assistant for two years at St. Colman’s. Since I had such a positive experience, I decided to continue my education and pursue my masters in Special Education. I am now in my third year as a master teacher!
My goal in Room 5 is to increase independence among all students as well as create a safe and exciting environment for my students to grow and learn. While working here at St. Colman’s, I have fallen in love with this population of children. Their energy is infectious and I see a lot of strengths and potential in each child I work with. I am looking forward to continue learning from them as much as I hope they can learn from me.
In my time outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my puppy Emma! We enjoy anything from going on hikes and playing on a flag football team, to sipping on a hot chocolate and cozying up on the couch! I also love to travel, and am hoping to begin exploring the world over our school breaks!
